Features added:
  • Design editor as plugin to CMS
    • Now the new design editor can be used not only on the Acronym platform within the website, but also on any external website as a plugin. Product price can be calculated through Acronym internal algorithms or sent to the editor externally.
  • Layout checking in the design editor
    • Now the design editor has the function to check page coverage percentage of spreads, printing surfaces and frames in the created layout. Error data is displayed on the right sidebar. A client can approve a layout while adding a product to the shopping cart. To learn how this function works for photobooks, visit our demo website.
  • Assessment of page coverage percentage
    • In actual life document printing cost and, as a result, printing price depend on the page coverage percentage. Before, this aspect was not taken into account neither in the application, nor on the website. Now we’ve enabled such assessment through option formulas added to the product editor.
Features changed:
  • Custom promotional items module
    • We’ve updated the custom promotional items module (its beta version was launched in the previous update). To look at the module, visit our demo website.
  • Several areas for courier delivery
    • Before, courier delivery was available only in one mode: clients set delivery address themselves. Now delivery can be divided into areas (nearest locations). These areas can be chosen in the delivery settings of the control panel.
  • Design editor
    • Besides, changes were made to the desktop and mobile versions of the design editor: functions of the old editor and new functions were added. Interface was changed as well.
  • Photobook editor on demand
    • Photobook editor on demand was modified by new optional functions: removal of cover and spreads, rendering of additional pages for flyleaves, uploading of photos to insert them into a cover.
  • Delivery page
    • Several bugs and points were fixed in the new delivery page, and some users’ wishes were fulfilled, such as support of Google Maps, opening hours display for pickup points, order tracking in courier companies.
  • Typeface management
    • Now only employees with roles of administrator, designer and content manager have an access to the typeface management function in the control panel. Besides, now you can download typefaces.
  • Discount system
    • “Sum up the number of one category products” function in the discount system used to aggregate cart’s products into one position was moved to the print category setting. “Sum up the number of copies printed for equal items in the cart” function used to apply this discount was added to the discount settings.
  • Template number on layout margins
    • The new function to display the number of the template used was added to the equipment settings in the section “Information on margins”: {templateSetId}.
  • Order file structure
    • Order file structure was updated for the design editor, and now it resembles the structure of the old editor.
  • Control panel
    • We stopped using the old interface completely, improved a new interface and finally updated the control panel.
Features fixed:
  • Number of pages in Word files
    • Number of pages in .doc files was determined incorrectly in the product editor, and it led to incorrect calculation of printing price.
  • Integration with marketing service Admitad
    • The orders of authorized users in the Admitad service were not delivered.
  • Update of product data through Excel file
    • In some cases, data on categories and products was not updated when Excel files containing product lists of the section “Print” were uploaded.
  • Book editor on demand
    • In some cases, printing cost was calculated incorrectly in the book editor on demand.
  • Product editor
    • If any options added before were disabled, the product editor stopped displaying the field used to enter the number.
  • Shopping cart preview
    • The function of shopping cart preview was added to all editors.
  • Change of quantity in the cart
    • When the quantity of items in the cart was changed, growth increment wasn’t taken into account for runs of any size.
  • Typefaces in the design editors
    • Some uploaded typefaces weren’t available in the design editor.
  • Online prepayment
    • In some cases, data on the prepayment amount was transferred incorrectly to the payment system.
  • Transfer of an option from the calculator to the editor
    • In some cases, when the function “Choose run size and options on the separate page following after the editor” was enabled, the chosen calculator’s option wasn’t transferred to the editor.
