Two weeks ago we developed a new module for selling custom promotional items.
Now end customers can buy products “as is” or change premade design. For example, they can add congratulation note.
The module can be configured in the control panel’s section “Print/Merch”. You can align designs (templates and cliparts) with products on which they can be printed.
We suppose that in the next two months the similar module will be integrated into new version of the Acronym mobile application.

After the last Acronym service update the design editor has the function for checking page coverage percentage of spreads, printing surfaces and frames in the created layout. Error data is displayed on the right sidebar.
Now a client can approve a layout in the modal preview window while adding a product to the shopping cart.

The core of any retail printing on demand service is the editor allowing users to create bespoke designs.
Manufacturability of commercial web-to-print solutions is assessed by the quality of their editor. Often, it can’t be used separately and doesn’t render well on mobile devices.
We’ve done more and made our editor not only responsive and easy to use, but also available for usage on any external website as a plugin. Product price can be calculated through Acronym internal algorithms or sent to the editor externally.

Within the last update we’ve developed a new sales statistics module that is now available in the section “Orders/Statistics” in the control panel.
In comparison with the old module, the new one has advanced filter, detailed data on sold products based on categories, informative graphs,
support of large time frames for analytics and easy-to-use responsive interface.

This editor is integrated into the next version of the mobile application planned to be launched in May–June.

The Belarusian photo print service PicPac has been working with us for two years now.
This week, the service updated its website design, making it one of the most interesting projects on Acronym.
In two months the service will switch to a new photo book editor which will run on all mobile devices in April. In addition, it will get its own mobile application with an integrated editor for photo books, calendars, and souvenirs.
We wish the whole PicPac team to continue delighting Belarusian users with high-quality products and excellent service!

Our service has obtained a new function for more convenient price editing - the unloading of the products and options into the Excel file and their import into the system. This mechanism not only allows you to modify existing products, but also to create new ones.
You can download and upload back products in the “Products” → “Add/Update” → “Update selected categories with products and options” section of the control panel.

One of the major novelties of this summer will be a release of the new photo book editor, the beta version of which will be available on the demo website with the new update (13.07.2021).
Its main differences from the design editor are:
- A modern interface like in the world's best online editors.
- An artificial intelligence algorithm for the automatic photo filling with its positioning in the frame compared to the people in the picture.
- Changing of the page designs, page spreads, placing photos and frame sets by dragging objects with the mouse (Drag&Drop).
- Objects grouping, aligning objects relatively to each other along the guides, and canceling actions (Undo/Redo).
- Bank of modern cliparts and design elements.
- Bank of ready-made photo frames.

The main theme of the next update, scheduled for early July, will be the new delivery page.
The new delivery page will allow you to choose the order delivery point both from your offices and from the transport companies points directly on the map. In case of a courier delivery, it will be possible to choose a house and set the apartment or office number in the same way.
Since the page is fundamentally different from the current one, it will be connected separately. If you are interested in its early implementation to the website, we invite you to join the testing starting next week. This will allow us to take into account all the requests for the update.

We've added the support of custom sizes for the preflight editor. That means that on the service page in the calculator the user can set up the size of the item, see the final cost, and then go to the editor and upload their layout.
The editor, in turn, checks the match of the real size of the layout with those set up in the calculator. Also, the set-up sizes can be changed right in the editor, after which the price of the order will be recalculated automatically.

In the Acronym service has appeared an integration with the popular CRM system Bitrix24. The integration allows transferring orders and users from Acronym to Bitrix24, as well as exchange order statuses.

A new HTML-code editor was introduced into the control panel. It makes it easier to work with a page layout. For example, highlight the semantics, fold the blocks, and while holding the Ctrl button, view content blocks and go to the pages where they are edited.
Note that this editor is used in many popular software development environments. We also added a switch between the code editor (“Markup”) and the visual editor (“Design”) to the markup editing pages.

With the last update, Acronym has obtained a new language URL constant in the form of the sign “~”. It will be useful for websites with multiple languages.
The constant is added in the markup before the links so that the user stays at the language that was chosen on the website while switching a language. Due to this constant, it is no longer necessary to add a prefix at the links for each language in the website markup.
Example of usage: /printing.
